Artist Bio

Amanda Pampena graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting from the University of Colorado Denver.  She has animal companions who act as models for much of her work.  These include cats, dogs, and leopard geckos.  She also uses endangered species, farm animals, and other wildlife as subjects.  Pampena keeps an extensive collection of pictures of other people’s animal companions, along with stuffed animals, toys, trading cards, and knickknacks that inspire her art.  Her influences include Theophile Steinlen and Egon Schiele.  Pampena has studied under such professors as Mary K. Connelly and Stefan Kleinschuster.  She has shown in galleries such as Namaste Hospice Art and Event Center in Denver, CO and West Nebraska Arts Center in Scottsbluff, NE.
